Kyokushinkai is much more than a sport; it is a school of discipline, perseverance, and self-improvement. By assuming the responsibility of leading the Federation, I am committed to continuing its development and building an even brighter future for Kyokushinkai in Tunisia.
Throughout my long journey in Kyokushinkai Karate, I have gained extensive and diverse experience across sporting, technical and administrative roles. I first experienced the discipline as an athlete, then continued as an international referee and a coach at several associations and clubs. I later took on administrative responsibilities as an association president, followed by a first term as a member of the Federation’s Executive Board and chair of the National Teams Committee. During another term, I served as chair of the National Refereeing Committee and vice-president of the Federation.
I also had the honour of coaching the national teams across different age groups, from cadets and juniors to seniors, alongside my duties as national technical adviser for development. These varied experiences brought me closer to the everyday realities of athletes, coaches and referees. They helped me understand the challenges facing every part of our sport and work towards solutions that support its development and raise its standards.
Today, as president of the Tunisian Kyokushinkai Karate Federation, I am putting all this accumulated experience towards the following commitments:
As part of this commitment, I place particular importance on the younger age groups, which are the true foundation of Tunisian Kyokushinkai’s future. Identifying talent, providing training and guidance from an early age, and creating the right conditions for technical, physical and mental development will help prepare a new generation of athletes capable of carrying the torch. These promising athletes will strengthen our national teams and proudly represent Tunisia at regional and international events.
Our goal goes beyond achieving immediate results. We aim to build a comprehensive and sustainable sporting system in which training, guidance, selection and ongoing monitoring lay the foundations for developing champions who can compete and fly Tunisia’s flag high across sporting events.
For me, this responsibility is more than a position: it is a trust and a continuing commitment. I believe that our sport can only develop through hard work, discipline, transparency and competence, with the interests of Kyokushinkai Karate and its athletes placed above all other considerations.
